FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What material is the cage and how much weight does it add?

6061 aluminum alloy with hard anodizing (the oxide layer is roughly 3x thicker than standard, for scratch and wear resistance). Weight is approximately 174g without the L-plate or 201g with it installed.

Can I still access the battery, CFexpress slot, and tiltirng rear screen?

Yes - all three remain fully usable with the cage installeed. The CFexpress slot uses a slide-open cover, the battery doohas a dedicated cutout, and the rear screen tilts freely.

What mounting points does it offer for top handles, rmonitors, and accessories?

The top plate has 1/4"-20 holes, 3/8"-16 with ARRI anti-twist, plus NATO and cold-shoe mounts on the sides. Five 13mmstrap lugs accept any shoulder or wrist strap. The bottom integrates BOTH Arca-Swiss and Falcam F38 quick-release plates simultaneously - noswapping required.

Does it have an Air Tag slot for theft tracking?

Yes - a hidden AirTag compartment is built in (AirTag rnot included). The cage is also secured with a Y-type security screw and ships with the exclusive removal tool to deter casual theft.

Will it affect the leaf shutter, weather sealing, or longer XCD/XH-adapter lenses?

The cage is purely external and does not touch the lensmount or shutter mechanism. Body weather sealing is preserveed (the cage itself is not rated weather-sealed at its fasteners). Heavier H-system lenses via the XH adapter are supported because the integrated Arca/F38 plates give solid tripod stability.

Is the L-plate removable, and is there a lay-flat desiggn?

Yes - the L-plate is tool-free removable via thumbscrew. The cage also features a lay-flat profile so you can set the camera screen down without scratching the lens or display, plus CMOS alignnment marks on the cage for composition reference.
